Tokaj, also known as the Hegyalja or "Foothills" in Hungarian, is among the most famous wine regions in the world, home to all-out top wines, owing to its unique natural conditions and potential. The family-owned Pauleczki Estate and Winery is located in the village of Tolcsva, in the heart of the region. The 45-hectare estate, with lots in the superb Kincsem, Mandulás, and Szentvér vineyards, is planted with Furmint, Hárslevelű, Muscat lunel and Muscat ottonel. The predominance of fragrant grape varieties enables us to produce intensely aromatic wines of good to superior quality that are well-liked and sought after by consumers everywhere. The selection of products we offer is biased toward Szamorodni wines and Aszús in the five to six puttonyos (butts) categories.
Quality winemaking for us is a tradition handed down from father
to son. The modern winery as we know it today was founded by
Antal Pauleczki Sr., who devoted his entire life to the values
of traditional viticulture. It is now run by his child,
Dr. Zsuzsanna Pauleczki. Having advanced
to become one of the leading estates in Tokaj, the enterprise
boasts a four-branch cellar system with a storage capacity of
2250 hl in traditional Gönci casks, 10*50-hectoliter stainless
steel tanks, and a processing-bottling facility equipped with
the latest technology.
